Welcome to the virtual home of our school: Dale a la lengua. Our names are Rafa and Grecia and we specialize in teaching English and Spanish as a Foreign Languages.

 

Rafa Párraga

Rafa was born in Granada in 1967. In 1990 he obtained his degree in Spanish Philology at the University of Seville, where he also obtained a Certificate of Pedagogy. In 2013, he obtained the «International House» Certificate of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and he completed the Professional Development Course for Teachers of Spanish at the Instituto de Formación Continua at the University of Barcelona. In 2013 he opened Dale a la Lengua, originally a school for Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) in Algodonales (Cádiz). It was founded to serve the needs of the growing expat community in Algodonales and surrounding areas.

 

 

Grecia Álvarez

Grecia was born in New York but she was raised in Miami. Her father is from Cuba and her mother from Colombia. In 2007 she graduated from Boston University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Hispanic Language and Literature. She later obtained a Master of Science in Library and Information Science at Simmons College. In 2010, she moved to Morocco on a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English at Abdel Malek Esaâdi University in Tetouan. In 2013 she obtained the CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) and returned to Morocco to work at the American Language Center of Tangier and the American Legation. In 2016 Grecia also obtained the «International House» Certificate of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and completed the Professional Development Course for Teachers of Spanish at the Instituto de Formación Continua at the University of Barcelona.
